The perfect brushes for wooden tracks

We've tried a lot of brushes and even made our own from stranded wire – but you can hardly beat the Super Small SCB brushes on wooden tracks. These brushes are known in the slot car world for their very fine, tinned copper contacts, specifically designed for good contact with low resistance. This is exactly the combination you need on wooden tracks, where the guide sits lower and the brushes mustn't create any drag.

What makes the SCB Super Small so good:

  • Very thin: Less mechanical friction on the slot/guide, therefore the car loses less top speed than with harder, thicker brushes (e.g. SCB "Super Down")
  • Soft and easily shaped: They can be easily molded, flattened at the front, or curved more – ideal for increasing the contact area with the track. Soft brushes are preferred by many drivers, especially on wood
  • More grip on the car: The softer brush doesn't "harden" the car electrically, which is particularly noticeable in sensitive classes (light GTs, Scale, Classic) – the car becomes more drivable
  • Maintain their performance for a long time: Despite their softness, they don't burn out as quickly and remain conductive, so you don't have to replace them after every turn

What to use it for?

  • Wooden tracks
  • Fine 1:24 scale racing classes that react sensitively
  • If "Super Down" or similar generates too much friction
  • If you want maximum, consistent contact without constantly adjusting
